Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Money Lat collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the Platoga app, this website and related services (the “Service”). It is part of our Terms of Service. Please read it carefully.

Important privacy information

  • What we collect: the name and email from your Apple or Google sign-in, your onboarding answers (goal, experience, challenges and daily study time), your learning progress, the messages you send to the AI tutor, your subscription status and basic device data.
  • Why: to run your account, personalize your lessons, save your progress across devices, answer your questions with the AI tutor and manage your subscription.
  • Who helps us: Google Firebase (hosting, sign-in and database), Google Gemini (AI tutor), Superwall (paywall and subscriptions) and Apple and Google (sign-in and payments).
  • What we never do: we do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads in the app, we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites, and we never see your card details or connect to your bank or brokerage accounts.
  • Your control: you can delete your account and data at any time in the App (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing support@moneylat.com.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Money Lat (“Money Lat”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data processed through the Service. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at support@moneylat.com.

2. Personal data we collect

2.1 Data you give us

  • Account data. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, your email address and a unique account identifier. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email.
  • Onboarding answers. Your learning goal, trading experience, the challenges you want to work on and how many minutes a day you want to study. Some additional answers you give during onboarding stay only on your device.
  • Learning progress. Lessons completed, XP, streaks, your last active day and your preferred language.
  • AI tutor messages. The questions you send to Plato, the AI tutor, and the context of the lesson you are on when you ask.
  • Communications. The information you include when you contact us, such as your email address and the content of your message.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Device and technical data. Device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, IP address and app identifiers that our providers need to deliver the Service.
  • Subscription data. Which plan you have, whether you are in a free trial, renewal and expiration dates, and transaction identifiers. We receive this from Apple, Google and Superwall.
  • Paywall and usage events. For example, when a paywall is shown, a trial is started or a purchase is completed or restored, and how many AI tutor messages you sent today.
  • Logs. Technical records generated when our servers handle your requests, used to keep the Service secure and to fix errors.

2.3 Data we do not collect

We do not collect your payment card details (Apple and Google process all payments), your bank or brokerage credentials, your precise location, your contacts or your photos. We do not use your device’s advertising identifier to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

3. How we use your data

We only use your data for the purposes below. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or a country with similar laws, the table also shows the legal basis we rely on.

4. AI tutor

When you send a message to Plato, our servers forward your message, your language and, if you ask from a lesson, a short description of that lesson to the Google Gemini API, which generates the answer.

  • We do not store the text of your conversations in our database. We only keep a daily message counter and the identifiers of your most recent conversations, so the tutor can follow up on what you asked before.
  • Google processes the conversation on our behalf to generate the answer and to keep the conversation context, and may retain it for a limited period under its terms for the Gemini API, including for abuse monitoring.
  • We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as passwords, account numbers, government IDs or health data) with the AI tutor.

5. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share it in the situations below.

5.1 Service providers

We work with trusted providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it and to use it only to provide their services to us:

ProviderWhat they do for usData involved
Google Firebase (Google Cloud)Sign-in, database, servers and logsAccount data, onboarding answers, learning progress, technical data, logs
Google Gemini APIGenerates the AI tutor’s answersAI tutor messages, lesson context, language
SuperwallShows the paywall and manages subscription accessAccount identifier, subscription data, paywall events, technical data
Apple and GoogleSign-in, app distribution, payments and refundsAccount data, purchase data

Apple and Google also act as independent controllers for the sign-in and payment data they process under their own privacy policies.

5.2 Legal reasons

We may disclose data if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with the law or a valid request from authorities, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, Money Lat or others.

5.3 Business transfers

If Money Lat is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will continue to protect it as described in this Privacy Policy and let you know if it becomes subject to a different policy.

5.4 With your consent

We may share your data in other ways if you ask us to or give us your consent.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: delete your account and data at any time in the App (Profile → Delete account), or ask us by email. This permanently removes your profile, learning progress and AI tutor usage records.
  • Objection and restriction: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, or ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Complaint: if you are in the EEA or the UK, you can file a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@moneylat.com from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity, and we will reply within the time required by law (usually within 30 days).

You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for Platoga in your Apple Account settings, or remove Platoga’s access from your Google Account. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; to stop being charged, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Account, onboarding answers and learning progress: for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete this data from our active systems right away.
  • AI tutor usage records: the daily counter and recent conversation identifiers are deleted together with your account. Conversations processed by Google are kept for a limited period under Google’s terms.
  • Logs: for a limited period, usually up to 30 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security issue.
  • Purchase records: Apple and Google keep them under their own policies. We may keep transaction records for as long as required by tax and accounting laws.
  • Support messages: for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

Residual copies may remain in backups for a short time before they are overwritten.

8. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and database security rules that prevent other users from reading your data. AI tutor requests go through our servers, so the AI provider never receives your sign-in credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data and to fix any issue quickly.

9. Age limitation

Platoga is not intended for anyone under 16 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal data, please contact us at support@moneylat.com and we will delete it.

10. International data transfers

Our servers and most of our providers are located in the United States, so your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

11. Additional information for US residents

If you live in California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, correct and delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described in this policy: identifiers (such as your name, email and account ID), commercial information (subscription and purchase history), internet or other electronic network activity (usage and paywall events, logs) and inferences about your learning preferences drawn from your onboarding answers.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the Service. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent by emailing support@moneylat.com.

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents can ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for how to respond to them, the Service does not respond to Do Not Track signals. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features or providers. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know through the App or by email.
